Carbon Farming

Empowering Farmers. Sustaining the Planet.

At Sajeevan Life, through Carbon Farming, we bridge the gap between climate-positive farming practices and the carbon markets, offering farmers a chance to earn income while restoring ecosystems.

What is Carbon Farming?

Carbon farming involves adopting sustainable agricultural practices that help reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions or enhance carbon sequestration in the soil. These actions generate carbon credits, each representing one tonne of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e) reduced or removed from the atmosphere. which can then be sold to industries or organizations aiming to offset their carbon footprints.

For Farmers: Income Beyond Crops

  • Adopt biochar use, agroforestry, and regenerative farming techniques.
  • Get certified and connected to verified carbon marketplaces.
  • Earn additional income through verified carbon credit programmes, subject to project eligibility and verification.
  • Switch to low-emission practices like cover cropping, no-till farming, and organic composting.

Result:

Improved Soil Health, increased productivity, and Additional Income while contributing to climate action.

For Industries: Offset Responsibly

We collaborate with environmentally conscious industries looking to:

  • Offset their carbon emissions through verified and transparent carbon credits.
  • Support rural economies by investing in climate-positive farming.
  • Strengthen their ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) performance with measurable environmental and social impact in India.

Sajeevan Life ensures that the credits are auditable, traceable, and generated in accordance with recognised project standards—creating a mutually beneficial outcome for both the planet and partners.
